When I first moved into my NYC studio, I struggled with the layout. My bed was the centerpiece of the room, and no matter how much I tried to decorate around it, the space always felt cramped. Then I thought long and hard about investing in a murphy bed, and when I commited to it - everything changed. Not only do they offer sleek, modern designs that blend seamlessly with your decor, but they also make it possible to transform my studio from a bedroom to a living room (or even a home office) in seconds.
Read MoreIf you know me, you know that with every move I make, there’s one non-negotiable: a Castlery couch. You can ask everyone I know…and my little brother, who got verrrrryyy lucky to have gotten one from me when I didn’t have the space for it. This isn’t just a brand I love—it’s a brand I trust with my whole cozy, design-obsessed heart. And trust me, I put my furniture through it. I have a dog, I host, I lounge HARD, it’s served as a bed in my studio spaces — and yet, my Castlery couches still look like they just arrived fresh out of a showroom.

Yes, those long, narrow rugs that people often place in hallways or kitchens. But here’s the thing—runners aren’t just functional, they’re an art form in their own right.
Read MoreThis was my very first neighborhood the first time I moved to Philadelphia back in March of 2017, so it’s pretty special to me now and always. It was officially the first time I had moved to a new city knowing not a soul (my experience in New Zealand is for another blog post!).
These streets were my companions those first few months before I made any friends, as I’d stroll around lost and discovering my new city.

Whether it’s a photograph, a painting, or a canvas filled with bold strokes of color, art serves as a tangible reminder of what we’ve accomplished or what we’re striving toward. I love waking up and seeing this every morning, reminding me of what I am capable of! I love using Etsy to find art that speaks to all the different chapters of my life.
Read MoreWalnut furniture holds a special place in my heart because of its rich tones, intricate grain patterns, and durable build. It has a way of making any space feel both sophisticated and inviting. Not only does walnut furniture look incredible, but its high-quality construction also ensures it’s built to last for years. Also, literally every single color POPs against the beauty of this wood color.

The soft hum of the Moccamaster working its magic is music to my ears. Within minutes, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, and I’m reminded why this little machine is worth every penny.

Read MoreIn a nutshell – COVID made me do it! I was laid off from a job I really loved in March, unexpectedly on a 2-minute Zoom call and our laptops shut off 30 seconds later (woof).
Read MoreI had been living out of a suitcase and room/couch hopping for the better part of the 7 months pre-COVID, so when this hit I moved back into a room at my parents since they so lovingly welcomed me in - so grateful for that. They live on a lot of land that I’ve really come to think as magical…I look out the window and sometimes think I am in Ireland. Lush green grass, a little pond where ducks play all day and birds fly above through the trees that create a canopy over it. I find pure joy in seeing birds of all kind fly through, their colors popping against the greenery.

Traveling is something I prioritize, and when you have a job that encourages you to do it and do it often - well, it makes a wandering soul like myself very happy!

It could be great, or it could be a hot mess. We shall see in time!
